TWEETING LEADS TO LOCAL BUSINESS SUCCESS
Two Shropshire Chamber of Commerce members who started Tweeting after meeting at the Chamber’s first ‘Twitter for Business’ workshop held on 5th June are now celebrating their first joint contract win.
Bridgnorth based PR agency Imagine Communications is now working together with Shrewsbury’s Starfish Advertising and Marketing to develop a new brand identity, a range of marketing materials and an advertising and PR campaign to support the launch of Focus Fitness, a brand new fitness company that opens its first UK centre in Nuneaton this September.
Alison Bukhari, Managing Director of Starfish said: “Imagine presented us an opportunity to pitch our marketing ideas to Focus Fitness as a result of us Tweeting following the Twitter workshop. If I’m honest, I was a little bit sceptical at first about Twitter, but our new relationship with Imagine proves that it’s a great way to forge great relationships with like-minded local businesses.”
“I too like Alison was a bit cynical about Twitter, but looking back I think it’s because I didn’t properly understand it,” admits Samantha Stewart, Director of Imagine Communications. “However the Chamber workshop showed us all how it can benefit our business if used correctly. As a result we have gained some really good business contacts with Starfish being the prime example.”
